RWBY: More mistakes made than any man | OWLS “Adapt” Blog Tour

It is wonderful to be back at writing for another OWLS blog tour. However, the circumstances between the last time I wrote for a blog tour and this one are extraordinarily different. Back then, I was taking about the grandiose idea of peace with the onset of the Inter-Korean summit and comparing it with Avatar: The Last Airbender. Now, we’re in a dark time with the global health crisis affecting our families and communities. This brings us to this month’s prompt put forward by the OWLS blog tour:

The fight for peace in Avatar – OWLS “Movement” Blog Tour

No matter whatever world we are presented with – be it the real or the fiction, there is always that one end goal put forward: peace. This concept varies on the individual and we all want a little bit of peace. Every person would go to any length they deem necessary to find “peace,” whatever it is. Because of this desire, we join groups, movements, filled with people who believe in the same things as we do. But it’s not all black and white as we would like to believe.

OWLS Blog Tour – Violet: the struggle to change

As I write this article, I have come to realize that our group has come a really long way in comparison to the previous year. New members have come and are gracing us with their wonderful writings on various prompts. Although I haven’t really been a part of OWLS for a very long time, I feel very proud to be a part of this wonderful, growing group of creators.

How being the bad guy helps (OWLS Blog Tour)

Before everything else, you should totally check out Kat’s blog entry about misunderstanding hate from the Harry Potter books.

This month’s blog tour has been quite a challenge for, not only me, but the majority of everyone in OWLS. The prompt, “Diplomacy,” has so many perspectives to discuss about that choosing one is proving to be difficult. So I decided why not make it a little bit confusing for me by using a show that’s dialogue-heavy, Oregairu.

An anime series known for its deep and mind-boggling hits about high school life and society, I found Oregairu to be the best basis material for the “Diplomacy” prompt as the show is centered around the politics of a regular high school. Before we dive in, spoilers are in great abundance here and if you do not take kindly to that, avert your eyes!

Weekly Wrap-up (Oct 29 – November 4, 2017)

WEEKLY WRAP-UP – With all the new anime and gaming titles coming out, this week has been pretty material-intensive for me. Not knowing where to begin with the new anime season, or have the means to access newly released games, it has become a struggle for me to find compelling content to write about.

Finding meaning in something that is lost (OWLS Blog Tour)

As someone new to this, it is a great pleasure to be participating in the 8th OWLS Blog Tour. Last Monday, Zoe from Let’s Talk Anime talked about self-acceptance in the film, A Silent Voice. If you have not had the pleasure of reading it, I suggest you should give the article a few moments of your time. Thanks and I hope that this article will pique your interests.

“Treasure” Blog Tour

There are moments in our lives where we lose our sense of self-worth and value and as a result, we find ourselves deep in darkness or drowning in the ocean. However, every person in this world is a treasure—we treasure ourselves or we are treasured by others—and at times, we may need to be reminded of that.

For this month’s topic, we will be exploring pop culture characters who have suffered from mental illnesses, depression, and/or suicide. We will be discussing how these individuals cope with these issues, the reasons for their emotions, and how they handled the situations they are in.
