Weekly Wrap-up (Oct 29 – November 4, 2017)

WEEKLY WRAP-UP – With all the new anime and gaming titles coming out, this week has been pretty material-intensive for me. Not knowing where to begin with the new anime season, or have the means to access newly released games, it has become a struggle for me to find compelling content to write about.

In line with the blog update that I posted last week, it seems that, after further deliberation, some of these daily “themes” that I have thought of were probably too ambitious of me to write about.

The “musical Wednesdays” content was something I had to cancel off entirely seeing that writing about a certain form of media that required each individual to experience was too demanding for me. That, or I am just a lazy writer.

Other than that, every thing has been, so far, do-able in my part and I cannot wait for the exciting stuff that is coming in the future.

Here is a run-down of all the stuff that I have covered for this week:

I had to start off the “expectation Mondays” segment with a list of anime titles I planned to watch for the fall season. Shows like The Ancient Magus’ BrideBlend S and Anime-Gataris were a few of the things I mentioned but I only managed to watched the first show, so far.

Other than that, I have given episode reactions for the first and second episode of RWBY‘s fifth volume. There was also a first impressions post of the Ancient Magus’ Bride’s first three episodes which was insanely great for the series’ introduction.

Having a game such as Call of Duty: WWII to be the main focus of the first “In the Spotlight” segment of this blog took me by surprise. The post was, literally, written an hour and a half before it went live after I had viewed a live-stream of the single-player campaign. The game was developing a considerable amount of hype before it was released and I just happened to get caught up in it.

A last thing to highlight for this week, the Otaku Warriors for Liberty and Self-Respect (OWLS) have finished and rounded-up the blog tour participants and their entries for October’s prompt, “Dreamers,” wherein they talk about instances in which characters from pop culture had amazing aspirations but were not given the ample opportunity to achieve them.

With the October blog tour ending, a new prompt has been announced for November’s blog tour which is “Diplomacy.” In this blog tour, we will be talking about prominent scenes from pop culture where diplomacy had a major role and how we can learn from these moments in our favorite titles.

That was all things exciting that had popped in my side of things.
